The buckwheat festival in Ha Giang

For the fifth time, the buckwheat flower festival is being organized in Ha Giang. Here are some suggestions for those planning to visit Ha Giang in the last two months of the year, November and December:

Activities to do in Ha Giang from September to December:- Quan Ba district: Visit Lung Khuy cave, Nam Dam community culture and tourism village, Thanh Van craft village festival, linen weaving festival in Lung Tam, Can Ty.

- Yen Minh District: Organize popular games in the hamlet of Ngan Chai, Lao and Chai village.

- Dong Van District: Cultural activities, shows, and popular Hmong games.

- Meo Vac district: Visit Pa Vi Ha village, cultural village of the Giay ethnic group in Tat Nga hamlet, the cultural village of the Lo Lo ethnic group in Sang A hamlet, Meo Vac district; the stone heart of the Pai Lung village, and the pedestrian crossing on the white slopes of Ma Pi Leng. Engage in popular games and traditional activities like linen weaving, hood weaving, making musical instruments, making conical hats of the Giay ethnic groups, throwing Pao, and pig racing.

 

Traffic and Transportation in Ha Giang during the Buckwheat Festival:

On November 8, 2019, the Traffic and Transport Department approved decision 231/TB-SGTVT prohibiting specific motorcycles (public works motorbike and motorbike specialized for forestry activities) on national roads 4C, roads towards the national flag tower Lung Cu and Yen Minh – Mau Due – Meo Vac road (provincial road DT 176) from 0:00 on November 14, 2019, until November 17, 2019. During these days, trucks transporting oil and gasoline and trucks weighing more than 8 tons are also prohibited.

With this information, tourists and travellers can visit Ha Giang peacefully without being affected by traffic restrictions.
